Izana wore one of his more elaborate bedtime pajama sets: A long-sleeved button up and pants, fitted loosely on his slender form, the white fabric complementing the intricate black designs that curve around the sleeves and pant legs. Just as Zola sipped the herbal tea he was presented with, Izana dug for something in his pocket. “I usually would,” Izana replied, placing the tray of tea and biscuits on the bedside table, “but some little birds told me that you have been uptight as of late.” Izana poured him and Zola some tea as he continued, “You need to loosen up a bit, get out for some fresh air, have some fun - and I know just the way to do all three!”

I have some herbal tea and biscuits for you!” He nearly jumped out of his skin, letting out a small yelp as he looked up at his friend, Izana grinning from ear to ear. Suddenly, Izana burst through Zola’s bedroom door, sending the sleep-deprived man for a loop. What did these nightmares mean? Were they some type of warning to him some metaphorical presence trying to guide him, as Izana had suggested? If only he could stop them… He took a few deep breaths, but when he tried to close his eyes and focus on relaxing, all Zola could see was the blade of a king’s axe sweeping towards him. The remnants of lavender incense - one of Zola’s many attempts at a good night’s rest - still lingered in the air, Zola taking a deep whiff, hoping it might calm his rattled mind. Zola had tried everything to stop them, but all of his trials and tribulations had been for naught. They had become more frequent as of late, and there was seemingly no end to the nightmares. It had all felt so real, so convincing.why did he keep having such horrible nightmares? Cold sweat stains his brow, heavy breathes huffing forth from his lips, eyes wide in fear. Even upon the realization that it was just a dream, Zola could not still his jittering nerves, nor the frantic beating of his heart. But there was no axe, no king, no death coming for Zola it was just another nightmare. He nearly lunged out of bed, hand outstretched, trying to stop the blade that came hurtling towards his neck.
